CAST & Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River, OR are about to put on their winter play. This year the play is It’s A Wonderful Life! More than just a play, they are trying to recreate the experience of attending a live radio broadcast in the 1940’s.The Hood River News has a pretty cool article about all the work that’s gone into it.

Paper Trail

Lately I’ve had the opportunity to have my work featured in one of Portland’s local papers, The Portland Mercury. I’ve been a Merc fan for a while so it’s been great to be involved. The assignments I’ve gotten so far have been a lot of fun and I hope to do more. Here are the pieces I’ve had printed so far.

Bic Pen Commercial – Storyboards

Bic StoryboardsI recently storyboarded a commercial for Bic Pens, produced by the fine folks at Droptree Productions. Like most commercial productions, the schedule wasn’t very forgiving. Detailed storyboards helped to speed up the time spent on set and made the days work more efficient. Which is a good thing when you are trying to condense what should be a few days worth of work into one. Of course it helps to have a director with a clear vision, like Brian Baldwin, overseeing things. While not every shot is going to exactly match the board, they served as a good jumping off point.… KEEP READING!

Toon Season

It was a busy holiday season for Love Toons. I had more commissions than anticipated from old and new clients and it kept me good and busy. It is always nice when a client has a creative idea for their Toon, and this year’s crop did not disappoint. Here are some of my favorite pieces from this year.
