I recently storyboarded a commercial for Bic Pens, produced by the fine folks at Droptree Productions. Like most commercial productions, the schedule wasn’t very forgiving. Detailed storyboards helped to speed up the time spent on set and made the days work more efficient. Which is a good thing when you are trying to condense what should be a few days worth of work into one. Of course it helps to have a director with a clear vision, like Brian Baldwin, overseeing things. While not every shot is going to exactly match the board, they served as a good jumping off point.
